Licensing

We have expertise in licensing laws having advised on and represented clients under the Licensing Act 2003 requirements. The licensing laws were significantly changed by the 2003 Act. The premises and personal licences are issued by local authorities relevant to the location of the subject premises and address of the individual seeking a personal licence for the sale of liquor. Where appropriate we prepare and submit applications and serve copies on the relevant authorities. We also arrange the placing of a public notice in the local press and also provide the requisite notice to be displayed at the subject premises in the appropriate cases. In the event of there being a hearing on an application we provide representation. The licensing laws are wide ranging including amongst other things the provision of late night refreshments.
